People on this list might be interested in a new tool called 'cgrep'.
Its a simple and very expressive grep-like tool which fans of sam-like
regexps will enjoy.

Its available from ftp://plg.uwaterloo.ca/pub/mt/cgrep.
Browse around under .../mt/.. for some relevant papers.
