* xuname:  Void 5.2.19_1 x86_64 GenuineIntel uptodate rrrmFFFFFFF

* package:  gnome-3.32.0_1
  *affected package(s) including the version*

### Expected behavior
After changing language in settings and using GDM, the language should be applied after loging out and back in.

### Actual behavior
LANG is overwritten by /etc/locale.conf

### Steps to reproduce the behavior
Install gnome and try to set the language

This can be fixed by adding a condition to /etc/locale.conf to check if LANG is already set, but I am not sure if there is a better solution to this.
