I get the same feeling of beauty from python that I get from plan9 Writing a user level fs in C is not as simple as I'd hoped it would be. I have managed to get one to fly but I'm sure it's cumbersome (it's temporarily broken and I don't know what I changed 3 months ago to make it not work). It's frustrating to have ideas for file systems but then be bogged down in an implementation that you know would be easier if it was a bit more abstract. m
