anyone own lex?  try a simple example and it doesn't load under ape
(atexit redef) or with the -9, 8c, 8l ... it doesn't work.  now if you
look into it; then adding

%{
    int outfd = 1;
%}

helps but the output is unbuffered ... you got it, it took an hour to
process a few megabytes.  and it dies on long lines without
diagnosis - gee 200 ain't a big unmovable rock these days.

apart from that i had a great day.
