it used to annoy the shit out me, but i rationalised it:
tab is a pretty big key and i can type it pretty quickly
and i'm not gonna pollute the editor with that junk.
that's pretty small beer compared to hacking /sys/src/cmd/cc/macbody with drawterm _across the atlantic_.
