I'd say venti is solid as a rock, and fossil is quite solid too, although you don't need to depend on that too much, given venti. --upas-fqolcbfyolwjrqurzwkxbirkjn Content-Type: message/rfc822 Content-Disposition: inline Received: from mail.cse.psu.edu ([130.203.4.6]) by aquamar; Wed Dec 3 20:36:49 MET 2003 Received: by mail.cse.psu.edu (CSE Mail Server, from userid 60001) id 738BB19C0E; Wed, 3 Dec 2003 14:36:28 -0500 (EST) Received: from psuvax1.cse.psu.edu (psuvax1.cse.psu.edu [130.203.76.6]) by mail.cse.psu.edu (CSE Mail Server) with ESMTP id A7F7D19BB7; Wed, 3 Dec 2003 14:36:09 -0500 (EST) X-Original-To: 9fans@cse.psu.edu Delivered-To: 9fans@cse.psu.edu Received: by mail.cse.psu.edu (CSE Mail Server, from userid 60001) id 0D0F119BA3; Wed, 3 Dec 2003 14:35:03 -0500 (EST) Received: from ensim.rackshack.net (unknown [216.127.72.23]) by mail.cse.psu.edu (CSE Mail Server) with ESMTP id 1BB6919BB6 for <9fans@cse.psu.edu>; Wed, 3 Dec 2003 14:34:51 -0500 (EST) Received: from infernopark.com (localhost [127.0.0.1]) (authenticated (0 bits)) by ensim.rackshack.net (8.11.6/8.11.6) with ESMTP id hB3KrPn28759 for <9fans@cse.psu.edu>; Wed, 3 Dec 2003 15:53:25 -0500 Received: from 192.11.226.116 (SquirrelMail authenticated user vdharani@infernopark.com) by www.infernopark.com with HTTP; Wed, 3 Dec 2003 15:53:25 -0500 (EST) Message-ID: <46368.192.11.226.116.1070484805.squirrel@www.infernopark.com> Subject: Re: [9fans] Auth/CPU/Fossil From: To: <9fans@cse.psu.edu> In-Reply-To: References: X-Priority: 3 Importance: Normal X-MSMail-Priority: Normal X-Mailer: SquirrelMail (version 1.2.5) MIME-Version: 1.0 Content-Type: text/plain; charset=iso-8859-1 Sender: 9fans-admin@cse.psu.edu Errors-To: 9fans-admin@cse.psu.edu X-BeenThere: 9fans@cse.psu.edu X-Mailman-Version: 2.0.11 Precedence: bulk Reply-To: 9fans@cse.psu.edu List-Id: Fans of the OS Plan 9 from Bell Labs <9fans.cse.psu.edu> List-Archive: Date: Wed, 3 Dec 2003 15:53:25 -0500 (EST) X-Spam-Status: No, hits=1.3 required=5.0 tests=IN_REP_TO,MISSING_MIMEOLE,MISSING_OUTLOOK_NAME, NO_REAL_NAME,QUOTED_EMAIL_TEXT,RCVD_IN_NJABL,REFERENCES, REPLY_WITH_QUOTES,X_NJABL_OPEN_PROXY version=2.55 X-Spam-Level: * X-Spam-Checker-Version: SpamAssassin 2.55 (1.174.2.19-2003-05-19-exp) Content-Transfer-Encoding: quoted-printable Hi Ballestros, Sorry for the delay in replying. I wasnt able to use the internet for sometime. I think I should first try fossil based Plan 9 installation before I help someone located elsewhere. I will do that as soon as I can. I will take your help off-list as needed. Also, seeing the mails on fossil/venti woes, I am getting worried about i= ts stability. I am not sure how stable the system will be but atleast I woul= d like to try it.
