nah, mailing list.  it seems to be trying to parse a 'group', which used to bust
micro$sloth user agents, which (iirc) you can't have in a To: field, but you
can have:

    To: Angry Gun Toting Meat Eating People: <boyd@insultant.net>,
          <Donald.Rumsfeld@nra.org>;
