Lucent and by induction the licensee MUST keep the US Government happy. In reality, it's not that onerous a clause. Always remember the US Government at any time can make up new laws to screw you (and history show it has done this frequently). Look at the RIAA inspired mess. So, don't worry, be happy. The COMMERCIAL DISTIBUTION clause is just nutty. I wouldn't bet my business on that clause. Should anything blow up, (either intentionally or not) you are screwed. Theo is correct here. But, there is hope, Lucent reserves the right to change the license. Perhaps a future license won't be so risky. But, if you are just doing things for "free" then I don't see a problem with this license.
