Interestingly it is not clear what gmail's buisness model will be.
I thought there would be subtle advertising, in a similar vein to
google's search engine, hence the lack of an API pushing
users to use a web browser. Recently however there have been hints
that they may allow pop3 access and then start charging for access.
I would probably pay for a 1Gb of reliable network attached
storage - I am less likely to forget my password than lose
(another) USB key.
