The former is a package containing 9vx, the Tvx wrapper and a couple of other things. the tvx-root is the plan 9 root file system. They are separated so that 9vx can be updated and distributed without the user having to re-download the entire plan9 file system (which is a difference of a few MB and 80+MB. tvxroot (and I am OK with that name) should be a once-only operation, and the user can either upload the latest tvxsrc, or use pull to update and rebuild live. As a note, the only problem I have with tvxsrc is that the name implies that it is 9vx/Tvx's src and not plan9's source. EBo --
