Subject: [9fans] venti block score & type
Date: Thu, 11 Dec 2003 17:22:10 -0800 [thread overview]
Message-ID: <09d601c3c04e$5e09aba0$6739a8c0@hpn5415> (raw)
Am I write in assuming that both the score and type have to match for a
successful venti block read?
Similarly, that attempting to write a block whose score is already in venti,
but with a different type, will fail?
If so, the score is a unique key for a block but the type must always match
for all subsequent references to that block.
