The >>> suggests you ought to type "q" at the prompt and move on to some next step, but I cannot imagine why that would be the case. Also, are you sure you want to update the "mbr"? That depends, if I understand correctly, on the type of disk model you're using. I have successfully installed the very latest CD-ROM image (with some sweat) under VMware server, so it is possible. It doesn't work beautifully, however, it seems to drop the connection after a very short idle period. ++L
