I tried the 2.4.x series couple of months back.
In this one the toplevel mkfile is missing and as the README.Plan9
says
cd <extract_dir>/Plan9
mk
but mk fails with errors

(Ron had worked on some dynload of python modules, may be good to
include them ?)
