Earlier than what exactly? Pre 4th edition?

More specifically, I want earlier versions of libframe, libdraw and window system (8½)

iirc first and third editions were not made public.

2nd edition had different a license and you had to pay for it.
Sometime you can find 2nd edition boxed set (books+cd) on ebay or similar.
