Boot process halts almost from the start at message:

Verifying DMI Pool Data ........
Boot from CD: PBSR...EI

Then nothing! Keyboard not hung. Press any key and it reboots.

This is on an amd athlon xp 2000+ / 1G RAM / 2nd Master = CD-RW, ATA 33
Ideas / clues please. TIA ..
