	Hello,

I have just installed the 4 floppy distribution (and I'm waiting
impatiently to receive the complete system I've ordered :-) ).

I had a problem with the miec I tested. One of them is a Genius
HiMouse (serial, Mouse-Systems type) which works flawlessly with XFree86,
and a Dexxa mouse, also Mouse Systems compatible in COM1. Neuther of them
worked when I told the system to use COM1. It said "Unknown mouse
type". However, I tried to execute "aux/mouse" WITHOUT any parameters
and it works now. After editing the rc script which loads the driver, the system
is working fine. What is the difference if I don't give parameters to the mouse
driver?

The rest of the installation has gone well, without any problems. I'm
looking forward to receive the complete system so that I acn make a permanent
installation.

Thank you very much, Bell Labs, for bringing another interesting
operating system; perhaps in ten years it will be widespread? :-)

Without parameters the aux/mouse assumes the mouse is on serial port 0,
we number them 0 and 1 unlike DOS's 1 and 2.

Other than that, it's the same.
