[...] About the same applies to the Hyundai HGC-1280 display I have as the only one in my PC. XFree86 knows this (non-standard) monochrome display, driving it with 1280x1024 pixels. I tried to boot the plan9 diskette from the demo kit, but it hung after writing a single message. (Which I have forgotten now, and at ehe moment my PC is torn into pieces for the sake of a friend who wants to finish her dissertation with appropriate hardware.) Is there any chance that someone has written or will write a driver for the HGC-1280? I can't do it without this driver (bootstrapping problem!), unless (next question) plan9 can work with the ancient text-only IBM Monochrome Display Adapter, which is my only alternative.
