If you know the model of STB VGA card and can determine the graphics chip RAMDAC clock chip then it's possible to create a new entry in /lib/vgadb for your card. ------ original message follows ------ >>From cse.psu.edu!9fans-outgoing-owner Tue Sep 5 07:31:03 EDT 1995 Received: by colossus.cse.psu.edu id <45556>; Tue, 5 Sep 1995 07:19:31 -0400 Received: from goggins.bath.ac.uk ([138.38.32.13]) by colossus.cse.psu.edu with SMTP id <45557>; Tue, 5 Sep 1995 06:22:07 -0400 Received: from bath.ac.uk (actually host gdr) by goggins.bath.ac.uk with SMTP (PP); Tue, 5 Sep 1995 11:09:08 +0100 Original-Received: from GATEWAY by bath.ac.uk with netnews for 9fans@bath.ac.uk (9fans@cse.psu.edu) PP-warning: Illegal Received field on preceding line To: 9fans@cse.psu.edu Date: Mon, 4 Sep 1995 15:57:44 -0400 From: Gregor Overney Message-ID: <42flno$cu2@lynx.unm.edu> Organization: University of New Mexico Subject: Plan9 on gateway P5-120 Source-Info: From (or Sender) name not authenticated. Sender: owner-9fans@cse.psu.edu Precedence: bulk Reply-To: 9fans@cse.psu.edu I've just installed a demo version of Plan 9 on a Gateway 2000 computer (p5-120) using a STB graphics board. Plan 9 is running but the STB graphics board (S3 compatible) is only supported in the standard VGA mode. Also the Future Domain SCSI-2 controller cannot be recognized using Plan 9. ---GTO
