Subject: Which scsi CDROM can be used?
Date: Thu, 7 Sep 1995 10:39:47 -0400	[thread overview]
Message-ID: <19950907143947.T3ns8pmuYkIZq_co6-Ty57CcGr2bGFk2_rJm7vfObNs@z> (raw)

I installed ftp version of Plan 9 on my 486ISA + AHA1542B machine, and
still have problem to read CDROM.

I tried three kinds of CDROM drives, Sony CDU-561, Chinon CDS-535
and Chinon CDS-431. At the booting Plan 9, while in the CGA mode,
it reports us the detected scsi devices, such as

    scsi0: cap 415436 sec 512
    scsi6: cap 322258 sec 2048

in my case. However, I can get the second line only for CDS-431.

Are there any compatibility list of this kinds?
