The only document that claims Plan 9 runs in 4 megabytes is the FAQ
on our home page. This document is actually quite old; it was written
as a little internal advertisement as part of the process of the release.
It was written before we even had final approval to release the system.
I believe Plan 9 will run in 4 megabytes, but not comfortably as claimed
there, and I am certain the installation software won't run in 4. So
I've changed the number on the FAQ to 8 megabytes.

I would like to point out that the installation document has always said
you need 8, so I assume that those who complain about installation trouble
in 4 are not paying attention to that document.
