Can anybody help, please.

How about if the Bell Labs folks just dust off the old V7 ratfor and
EFL code, and put it in netlib? (.5 * :-) Then acme will work just fine...

I was waiting for COBOL myself. On the otherhand, Plan9 sounds like an
excellent environment for an APL interpreter.

Hi, I have found a free g77 (gnu fortran compiler), but who can tell me
that it is compatibile with Plan9?
(it is distributed as source code, so if you have gcc, you can compile g77).
(it seems like I have answered myself my question - but am I rigth?)

No, you should understand it as a joke, like the emacs manual page.

As the always excellent Charles Forsyth said:

I'm sure there are, unfortunately.

But it's moved from research.att.com to
netlib.att.com, aka plan9.att.com, in directory /netlib/f2c.

Good luck with your physicists.

	Dave.

f2c is probably the only possibility for now.
it is, or was, available for anonymous ftp from research.att.com.
i don't know whether there are any other variants.
