/pub/plan9/bod/tapefs.bod on ftp.cs.york.ac.uk has changes that, applied to /sys/src/cmd/tapefs
(make a copy first), will yield an ext2fs.c and mkfile to produce fs/ext2fs
that gives read-only access to a linux ext2fs partition. it is known
to work on exactly one linux partition (mine), with 1k blocks
(not my idea, the linux installation chose the block size).

the file has been lurking there for some time, but i forgot to mention it here.
