Topicbox-Message-UUID: 329644b8-eac8-11e9-9e20-41e7f4b1d025 Message-ID: <19951104004615.EBmcxDc4Y2SU_L2IppQX1_TvI5lfBQApY5jfrwwOa3A@z> I just downloaded the Plan-9 demo system to my IBM-PC, and I am ready to give it a try. However, I'm not sure if I will even be able to perform the install, because the documentation specifies the install to go to the C: drive, and I would prefer to install it on my E: drive. I have a 1 gig hard disk which is split into 3 partitions, C:, D:, and E:. Therefore, my E: drive is not on a separate disk. This partition is already large enough to accomodate the Plan-9 software (it's around 200 meg), and what I would like to do is simply to make it a non-DOS partition and do the install. Yes, I know: if I make this partition non-DOS, then it will not be the "E:" drive any more. Will this work? It seems like it will. Has anyone tried something like this? And while I'm here, I might as well ask if anyone has had any trouble using DPT SCSI disk controllers with Plan-9. My particular model is PM 2021. Thanks in advance. -- Lloyd Zusman 01234567 <-- The world famous Indent-o-Meter. ljz@asfast.com ^ Indent or be indented.
