Interestingly, the DOS fdisk only sees the first 1Gb of the drive (because the Adaptec BIOS sez 1 cyl=1MB & 2040Mb is > 1024 Cyls). When I boot the 1st floppy, it comes up and says that it cannot find the DOS partition and to copy the floppy and try again. Hitting any key causes messages to the effect of "unknown keystroke: ff" (I don't have the machine in front of me, so cannot quote the exact message). Following the procedure (copying the floppy using the DOS on the drive, & rebooting) gives no joy. I might add that the DOS in question was also installed on an IDE drive in another machine and appears to work fine with Plan 9 on that machine. The machine with problems is a 486dx2 (66MHz), 8Mb mem, ST12550N drive, 911S3 VGA, 2serial 1parallel, PAS-16 soundcard, Wangtek QIC-02 tape, et cetera Stephen Stephen -- I do not speak for the Worker's Compensation Board of Queensland - They don't pay me enough for that!
