Topicbox-Message-UUID: 34b87e46-eac8-11e9-9e20-41e7f4b1d025 Message-ID: <19951115012621.6CaxEn7J6UNZfw8yD1o6-d_QnFxBuAnZzbWpUAitYKQ@z> Hi Everyone, I want to install Plan9 on my pc. I have read the documentation, and have seen a few messages about installing on this newsgroup, but I still have a question. I run Linux and DOS on my PC right now. The C: drive can't be repartitioned to allow room for Plan9, but my D: drive can. I can make an empty partition on my D: drive for Plan9. It would also be the highest partition on the D: drive. Is there a way I can make the install process use the highest partition on the D: drive instead of the C: drive ? Here is a listing from fdisk. I plan to decrease /dev/hdb5 by the 20MB needed for Plan9 (it would be around 80000 blocks instead of 100462), then create a new partition /dev/hdb6 of 20MB for Plan9, then hope the install goes there instead of wiping out the 386568 (/dev/hda3) partition on the C: drive. HELP ! /dev/hda is the C: drive. /dev/hdb is the D: drive.
