In adding ATAPI support I broke some configurations which only
have a master IDE drive. Not all drives cause the problem (the
one I have which does is a Seagate ST3243A). At the moment I
don't know how to fix this and maintain automatic detection of
ATAPI drives without resetting the drives which would cause
other problems.
