For those of you wondering, the support for this card is available in the current diskette set and the source changes are available for pick-up by FTP. The card was not supported in the original distribution and is only mentioned in the 'What We Use' document (sadly out of date, available through the FAQ at http://www.ecf.toronto.edu/plan9/plan9faq.html) as a card which is not supported. ------ forwarded message follows ------ >>From cse.psu.edu!9fans-outgoing-owner Thu Dec 7 10:09:24 EST 1995 Received: from colossus.cse.psu.edu by plan9; Thu Dec 7 10:09:24 EST 1995 Received: by colossus.cse.psu.edu id <78840>; Thu, 7 Dec 1995 09:52:46 -0500 Received: from symbionics.co.uk ([158.43.6.17]) by colossus.cse.psu.edu with SMTP id <78850>; Thu, 7 Dec 1995 09:52:25 -0500 Received: from sympc143.symbionics.co.uk by symbionics.co.uk (4.1/SMI-4.1) id AA06147; Thu, 7 Dec 95 14:51:11 GMT Message-Id: <9512071451.AA06147@symbionics.co.uk> Comments: Authenticated sender is From: "Nigel Roles" Organization: Symbionics Communications To: cse.psu.edu!9fans Date: Thu, 7 Dec 1995 09:51:10 -0500 Subject: SMC Ultra 16 combo Priority: normal X-Mailer: Pegasus Mail for Windows (v2.23) Sender: cse.psu.edu!owner-9fans Precedence: bulk Reply-To: cse.psu.edu!9fans Has anyone had any success with the SMC 16 bit WD8013 compatible cards with combo connectors? The card is set to BNC/TP and I'm connected via TP. I'm wondering if it needs to be told to TP, or whether it really does auto-sense?
