All the pieces are there for you to do a 32-bit driver (pci code in the updates, fileserver scsi4201 driver). ------ forwarded message follows ------ >>From cse.psu.edu!9fans-outgoing-owner Fri Dec 1 09:39:32 EST 1995 Received: from colossus.cse.psu.edu by plan9 Received: by colossus.cse.psu.edu id <78433>; Fri, 1 Dec 1995 08:18:50 -0500 Received: from alf.zfn.uni-bremen.de ([134.102.4.22]) by colossus.cse.psu.edu with SMTP id <78434>; Fri, 1 Dec 1995 08:18:23 -0500 Received: from blue.lrw.uni-bremen.de by alf.zfn.uni-bremen.de (AIX 3.2/UCB 5.64/4.940318) id AA49495; Fri, 1 Dec 1995 14:15:17 +0100 Received: from black.lrw.uni-bremen.de by lrw.uni-bremen.de (5.0/SMI-SVR4) id AA20004; Fri, 1 Dec 1995 14:14:03 +0100 Received: by black.lrw.uni-bremen.de (5.0/SMI-SVR4) id AA14092; Fri, 1 Dec 1995 14:13:01 +0100 Date: Fri, 1 Dec 1995 08:13:01 -0500 From: blue.lrw.uni-bremen.de!a82 (Henner Gratz) Message-Id: <9512011313.AA14092@black.lrw.uni-bremen.de> To: cse.psu.edu!9fans Subject: 16 MBytes limit for AHA1542 Content-Length: 784 Sender: cse.psu.edu!owner-9fans Precedence: bulk Reply-To: cse.psu.edu!9fans Hello everyone! I have a single question: I use a Buslogic 946C SCSI-Controler in my Plan9 PC, what means that the AHA1542 emulation is used. Does this also mean, that the driver can only address the lower 16 MBytes RAM (without the driver patch), or is it possible to ignore this ISA limit on my PCI system? Thank you for any answers.
