Yes, there should be a swap partition already. If your boot disk is /dev/sd0 (scsi), and you "bind -a '#w0' /dev", then "lc /dev" will show you all the partitions. Use "swap /dev/sd0swap" to enable the swap area. If your boot disk is IDE, use '#H' for the bind, & /dev/hd0swap fyi, 'prep -a' allocates up to 20% of the plan9 area of the disk or 2*memsize, whichever is less, for swap.
