Subject: [Q] File server vs. kfs process
Date: Sun, 14 Jan 1996 12:29:53 -0500 [thread overview]
Message-ID: <19960114172953.V49p-eFKzOpBzWCs0Q0t_3v1mJ19BOhAPZljCK9B3u8@z> (raw)
Can someone explain what are the differences in term of functionality
and performances between a dedicated file server and a kfs process on
a stand alone PC?
What I know or suspect:
file server stand-alone
-----------------------------------------
fs(8) commands kfscmd(8) commands
worm file system no worm file system
scsi only scsi or ide
anonymous & permanent reboot to change the user using the console
