It's the Securenet box refered to in the manuals, that is a
pocket-sized DES encryption box. You use it to calculate the response
to a challenge when connecting to a Plan 9 network from the outside.
for example, across the Internet using ftp or telnet.
The box is ~$100, so I thought I'd build one for the hell of it. It
would be cheaper, if only I could find a box small enough with a 12
key keypad, a battery compartmernt, and somewhere to put an LCD.
