This is likely a bit of a religious issue, but I've had
no complaints about Logitech mice in general, and I especially
the MouseMan "ergonomic" ones.  They're a bit pricey (US$59.95??)
but worth it.  I've never had one break on me, and the
one at my Plan 9 terminal, which has seen plenty of use, is
approaching two years old and still working very well.  They last
longer than my keyboards do.
