Hi. I’m new to 9front. I installed it on my ThinkPad with an NVMe drive. After editing lib/profile and rebooting, I got the following error:
> cat: error reading profile: phase error -- cannot happen
> checktag pc="202c79 cw"/dev/sdN0/fscache"w"/dev/sdN0/fsworm"(e108) tag/path=Tfile/27468; expect Tfile/27465
The first time I got this error, I just deleted the file and created a new one, but it happened again.

How did you reboot your system? If you used reboot(1), that shuts off the system without cleanly shutting down the filesystem.
You should use fshalt -r. Cwfs does not handle unclean shutdowns very well, doubly so if there are fresh writes.
Thanks,
moody

You are right. I used `reboot`. Thanks.
Is there a way to restore my file?

Thanks. You are right. I used "reboot".
Is there also a way I can restore my file?

The easiest option, to use the file system console,
documented in man 8 fs. The commands you want are
something along the lines of:
% con -C /srv/cwfs.cmd
>>> check
<will dump a bunch of errors, probably>
>>> clri <file with errors>
>>> clri <file with errors>
>>> ...
>>> check free

...oh, and to restore the files, if they're tracked by
git:
git/revert $files
