It is, true. I do wonder, though, how much of the mess vs. cleanliness
difference came about because much of the common uses of networks had
settled down a lot by the time Plan 9 first came into existence.
I.e, were the BSD lot trying to solve predicted problems that came to
be irrelevant to 99.99% of people writing network code?
