The new Korn shell is quite novel, but its roots are in the Bourne shell of yore and David's knowledge is probably unsurpassed. Of course, Tom Duff did a better job with RC, but he had no legacy to contend with; he could _learn_ from previous mistakes instead of having to be compatible with them. ++L
