Thanks, Russ, and indeed, all those who replied. I spent yesterday evening porting Moscow ML and got a working system, but I suspect that your port is more stable, since I merely hacked the code until it compiled and ran---hardly the way to produce a reliable programming environment. :-) It seems I should have waited a day and I could have saved myself the trouble. :-) I also made an abortive effort at getting Objective CAML running last night, but abandoned that fairly quickly---it was harder to port, and isn't ``standard.'' Anyway, once again, thanks to all who responded. It's nice to have SML under Plan 9! - Dan C.
