i have done.  i can't use inferno in college on linux though because of
the 16-bit X server thing, which is a royal PITA (it means i have to use
vi instead of acme); but i'm going OT now..

i mean have the plan9 kernel run dis code the same way the inferno kernel
(or emu) does; the idea being the plan9 and kernel can share (simple)
programs e.g. cat.
