Subject: [9fans] /sys/lib/pcdist/README missing? (or: how to make a pc install flop)
Date: Tue, 3 Apr 2001 17:04:06 +0200 [thread overview]
Message-ID: <200104031504.RAA19873@polya.cs.utwente.nl> (raw)
I had some trouble finding out how to make a pc install flop (for an nvidia
machine :-). Searching the 9fans archive gave me the right information,
in a message by Russ from Sat, 29 Jul 2000 22:28:57 -0400 where he mentions
a misplaced /sys/lib/pcdist/README, and sums up the basic info.
(Thanks for that message! It really helped to get the job done!
The tiny remaining problem was that /sys/lib/pcdist/disk/mkfile looked
for pbs in the wrong place, in /sys/lib/pcdist/bin/386 instead of /386)
It seems that /sys/lib/pcdist/README is still misplaced. Something to add?
Or should we add the info to the wiki? (probably, both would be best :-)
Regards,
Axel -- who now seriously hopes to get plan9 running at home... :-)
