Agreed wholeheartedly(sp?)! Looking back at my previous emails in this thread: because the linux driver was (is) the only source of information that I have next to the plan9 driver, and because it (seems to) work(s), I (subconsciously) took it too easy as 'the definition' (which it isn't, as Jim showed).
