no, it shouldn't. it's the first bug i've seen in the port part of the compiler for
some time. it's cc/dcl.c:/^mkstatic

For what it's worth, Sun's FORTE C compiler 6.1 doesn't generate
any warnings when compiling the preprocessed source.
