Subject: [9fans] Installation problem 2 =P
Date: Sat, 12 May 2001 14:46:51 +0200 [thread overview]
Message-ID: <20010512144651.A432@newluxor.moonspell.org> (raw)
The troubles with my gfx card are here again! =P
In attach you can find my vgainfo.txt, and this is what I've added
to the vgadb file:
ctrl
0xC0045="S3 86C375/86C385 Video BIOS. Version 1.01.03"
0xC0073="375 EDO M70 "
link=vga
ctlr=virge
I've even tried different combinations, cause I wasn't 100% sure of
my solution, but nothing worked...
I got the same error every time I boot from the floppy:
aux/vga: controller not in /lib/vgadb
[snip the dump]
aux/vga: vgactlw: <type vga>: bad arg in system call
rio: can't open display: initdisplay: /dev/drwa/new: no frame buffer
etcetc
any hints?
thank you =)
