If you're in rio, the screen is in hold mode so that you can edit
the message. Has the window turned blue? If so press the esc key
to toggle out of hold mode.

One can read e-mail with mail but how does one terminate a reply
to a mail message (via r or R)? I can't get out of editor mode --
q or ^D do not seem to do the trick?
