But half of the reason for asking was the port of Inferno to FreeBSD, which I naturally assume you had a hand in. I could be wrong there too, of course. I would like to use Inferno under NetBSD, myself, and I'm still working on justifying the source licence subscription so I can do it myself :-) On the other hand, I often wonder what the benefit of running Inferno anywhere other than native or hosted on WinNT or Plan 9 could possibly be. Coolness factor, and something Vita Nuova can't leave out of the package, but not intrinsically helpful, the options mentioned _do_ cover most of the likely applications I can envisage. But it's just my opinion... ++L
