Curious. I've thought anyone familier with English would like Hepburn style Romaji than that of formal one. For an example, when we say Kanpai, we close mouth for 'n' in KaNpai, whence, I believe, James Hepburn thought it should be KaMpai. However, formal one is Kanpai, of course.
