Did you have to do anything special to
get the installation to boot?

The plan9.ini looks right; the difference
between the installer and the installee
is the bootfile= and bootdisk= lines.

Hi, I would really like to get Plan 9 to work, but for some reason,
after the installation process is done and I reboot, I get no login
prompt. It just stops after it displays how much swap space I have.
I am curious, though, because th plan9.ini file from
/n/9disk/plan9.ini looks like this:

bootfile=sdC0!9fat!9pcdisk
bootdisk=local!#S/sdC0/fs
*nomp=1
distname=plan9
partition=new
monitor=multisync75
vgasize=640x480x8
mouseport=ps2
installurl=http://204.178.31.2/magic/9down/compressed/1011739793.n6w32kwc7h4dgxkvns3uzi2iukbcke5d

Is it just me or is this all too similar to the plan9.ini from the
plan 9 boot disk? I installed plan9 on a separate comp with 1 blank
IDE HD, 1 CD drive, and 1 floppy drive, so all of the default settings
*should* work. What am I doing wrong? I'm sorry, I'm just a Plan9
newb.
