Given the recent attention on this subject, I'm taking the opportunity
to list a view projects were doing here at labs:

1. True real-time scheduling based on EDF and deadline monotonic
    scheduling.
2. Video in a window: we have partial support for FireWire video,
tv-tuners, hardware and MMX supported MJPEG compression/
    decompression.
3. Integrate support for isochronous data transfers in 9P2000.

peter.

Now that's really interesting! Dealing with a mixed and changing
job set is a difficult problem.

I guess we can scratch that "student project", as "done". (Not
that "real" student projects have to be new)

Very impressive.... Firewire too! Any firewire disk support?
(Since this is currently my favourate backup technology)

Hmmm. I've run out of superlatives... :-)
