I write in some languages that have the keywords in uppercase. Yes it should send/do what's on the the key top. On azerty I also use it to type numeric sequences because they and '.' are shifted. It also makes typing IP addresses easier, but it's a terrible layout for writing code because all the 'special' characters are in totally off-the-wall places. Swedish qwerty is very close to qwerty but it has the 3 extra characters in the Swedish alphabet [ä/å/ö] which permutes things a bit, but it's very useful to be able to type them directly (particularily if you live in Göteborg). Eventually, in my 'copious spare time' (tm), I plan to build a cpu/auth server which will have a Swedish keyboard.
