just to tell you that perl5004_05 compiles and runs fine on 4e, at least for me...

..... just remark out defs of getsockopt() and setsockopt() in perl5.004_05/plan9/plan9.c , run rc setup.rc in that dir, cd /sys/src/cmd/perl/5.004_05 and type mk; mk; mk install
