I vote on your side, but I accept that there is a price to pay.
I particularly baulk when backwards compatibility suffers, because
obsolescence is unaffordable but unstoppable in the third world
(developing countries).

Guess who's keenly aware that the World Summit on Sustainable
Development was held on his doorstep?
