Date: Tue, 22 Oct 2002 18:21:39 +0200 Topicbox-Message-UUID: 09e19d76-eacb-11e9-9e20-41e7f4b1d025 hi, I'm trying to setup a plan9 rel. 4 fileserver with this config: P III 700MHz, 128MB RAM, 40GB IDE Disk, and Sargazos Kernel (with ide patch). service fileserver ip 192.168.1.9 ipgw 192.168.1.254 ipmask 255.255.255.0 ipauth 192.168.1.10 config h0 filsys main cp(h0)0.5fp(h0)5.95 filsys dump o ream main end Then I introduce the passwd command, and enter auth stuff for user bootes. (the same in auth server). All seems to run fine, but i haven't networking. The network card is a Realtek, and it appears to be recognized fine by the kernel, but i cannot see any activity using state command or arp print, and from other hosts i can't see the MAC addres of fileserver. I tested all the hardware and runs fine (all fine it can) using linux and openbsd. The link status on hub is ok, and all other hardware stuff seems to be ok. I put a tcpdump in the hub and see how auth server try to find fileserver MAC but there aren't responses from it. Any ideas? Saludos.
